Shaylie and Caleb first met in August of 2019 through mutual friends, and were immediately attracted to each other! Even though they were too afraid to say anything for months, they were baby 18-year-olds secretly falling for each other!

Shaylie and Caleb became absolutely inseparable, attached by the hip. Quarantining for months during COVID was ironically a positive point in their lives, as they spent endless quality time together. Their quirky and outgoing personalities meshed together perfectly, creating a special dynamic of constant goofiest and light-hearted fun. Their relationship thrives on enjoying each other's company, constant laughs, sharing adventures, and cheering each other on during their accomplishments!

Moving in together only made their relationship stronger. They always knew they had something special, but after moving in, their relationship prospered exponentially beyond their wildest dreams. The smaller things they cherished, such as eating meals together and watching new movies, meant so much more, knowing that their partner was experiencing adulthood right along with them. Every day, they learned more about life and each other... both maturing, growing, loving, and truly appreciative of the comfort and security their partner has given them while navigating through life. Their definitions of home started to extend beyond just their apartment walls, and within each other's presence and hearts.

In 2024, Shaylie and Caleb experienced big transitions in their lives! Shaylie graduated with her bachelor's degree in psychology, and Caleb started a good job at Josiah White's Residental Center where he consistently thrives and gets offered great longevity opportunities! As they both congratulated and celebrated their achievements, they both knew that a new chapter was upon them, and were ready to take the next steps...

After taking fabulous notes and getting help from her family, Caleb proposed to Shaylie privately on her family cottage's beach in Ossineke, Michigan; their favorite place in the world. While deceiving her into thinking they were doing their favorite annual activity, petoskey stone hunting, Caleb had the engagement ring hidden in the sand and waited for the perfect moment. He presented Shaylie with a custom-made ring containing a family heirloom, creating the most special and memorable proposal for both of them.

While our story may end here for now, we are so excited to experience the role of being a husband and wife! We've both developed the same wants and goals in life, and are eager to keep moving forward to achieve our dreams in the future! We have recently moved to Wabash, Indiana, at Josiah White's Residental Facility where we both work and offered free housing in a 3bd2bth. Caleb has been promoted and consistently awarded for recognition as a boy's Family Teacher, and Shaylie works in the girl's therapy hub where she assists students and therapists. As we both live and work at White's, Shaylie plans to continue her education for a psychology master's degree, and Caleb plans to work his way up to Lead Family Teacher or a Supervisor position. We both plan to use the free housing to our advantage to save financially, to eventually put a down payment on a house, and ultimately start a family! We are so thrilled to take our next steps, and cannot wait to celebrate it with you!
